Check your citation counts on iPhone! – Scopus Alerts Lite (Institutional subscribers version)

Elsevier Develops Scopus Alerts (Lite) iPhone Application to Help Researchers Stay Up-to-date while On-the-go.  

The new application, which is available on iTunes and the Apple App Store globally, gives iPhone users the ability to find and display abstracts and reference information from the Scopus database, which covers 18,000 journals produced by more than 5,000 publishers worldwide. The app is designed to help eliminate the need for scientists to seek out a desktop or laptop computer when seeking quality research data while travelling, attending conferences or commuting to and from work.

 Application features include the creation of search and citation alerts as well as the ability to save favorite abstracts and add notes. Further supporting collaboration among researchers, the app also allows users to share search results and links to favourite articles, via Email and Twitter.

For those iphone/ipad junkies: a very nice app

Fotopedia Heritage is one of my personal favourite applications for my iphone. The app documents all of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites through an increasing collection of over 20000 amazing pictures. Designers have harnessed the power of social networking to bring together users wanting to share their images of these intriguing and interesting locations.
