TVNews

TVNews is a database that lets you search and retrieve news stories and related current affairs programs broadcast by free-to-air networks – ABC, ABC2, SBS, TEN, 9 and 7. Content is updated daily and it offers an email alert service to help you track the stories that matter to you.  TVNews is a great resource for staff and students.  The TVNews archive goes back to 2007 and includes programs from The New Inventors, Sunday Arts, Talking Heads and more,  as well as documentaries and news programs. 

You can watch programs online or download them to your computer.  Remember the usual copyright restrictions apply.

Revolutionary new database at QUT – TV News

Informit Media TVNews is a revolutionary online database bringing TV news and current affairs from Australian free to air networks directly to your desktop.  TVNews enables you to search, browse, track and be alerted to television events/items and programs.   TVNews provides an index and synopsis of all major news, current affairs and documentaries on channels ABC, ABC 2, SBS, 7, 9 and 10.  

TVNews will be continuously updated, meaning that this resource will not only be a very powerful research tool but also an essential alert tool. The TVNews content started to build from the end of August 2007. The back-file will deepen over time and remain online indefinitely, allowing a searchable archive of Australian TV news.
